Do you swear to tell the truth, nothing but the truth so help you God?

March 14, 2017 By techadmin

Do you swear to tell the truth, nothing but the truth so help you God? Most of us are familiar with that statement when a person takes the witness stand in court. Question! Do we really know what the truth is? First of all let’s understand there is NO truth apart from the Word of God.

Today, we have a culture infested with bias, hypocrisy, deception and indoctrination. If not careful, even the “believer” can get caught up in the whirlwind of culture. Social media has played an intricate part of what people perceive, believe and receive as truth, not always good. Where did that person circulating the view get their information? What’s the attitude of that idea or message, what does it promote? If you’re a believer in the Messiah then these are no brainer questions we should ask ourselves. We absolutely ARE living in the last days before the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ, as such, were told in scripture what the world would look like and how were to live. (1 Timothy 4 & Ephesians 4). We should not take scripture out of context twisting it to make a particular point.

Let’s do a self-check and see if we took the witness stand in the House of God Courtroom, how we’d answer: here we go:

As a US citizen you have the right to object and refute any government authority? Do you agree or disagree.
A Peace agreement has been in the works for years between the Israelis’ and Palestinians, do you agree they are entitled to have a state of their own?
Scriptures tell us we should welcome the stranger, care for widows and orphans, so that being said, should that cancel out having borders to our country?
Just a few critical issues our nation faces that many people seem to be confused about. We should remember when looking at scripture to see what the common theme and pattern throughout the scriptures say and what group of people the bible is talking about, the Jews, gentiles or the nations. Remember too, although we may have rights as a citizen from the country we live in, as believers, our government and authority comes from Heaven above which means our response to the way we live and conduct ourselves should reflect that.

Make no mistake; the scriptures have something to say about borders, about authority, about dividing up the land of Israel as it does about every issue. We must have a discerning ear to know what truth is; the enemy tries to provoke our emotions, to join the bandwagon of radical behavior and keep us divided, in discord and disillusioned. Only when we look to the Word of God for the answers and clarity we need, will we truly know the “truth” and be set free from the lies, deception, and bondages of the enemy.

Scripture references to quiz: (1) Romans 13:1-2; (2) Joel 3:1-2 (3) Acts 17:26; Joshua 15 Written by: Patricia Shannon

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

March 14, 2017 By techadmin

My son and I used to discuss what these initials meant when he was younger and one day he made me something concerning it. Of course we know that WWJD means “what would Jesus do?” ” My son made me a sign that said WWJS?

What would Jesus say? He said “mom, we need to think about this too.” I have never forgotten this. Today, this all came back to me. How many times do we stop and think like this before we go somewhere, or eat, dress, talk, and so on? Ephesians 5:1 says: Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].

So if we get angry, or our feeling hurt, or feel offended, before we say anything, we need to think “what would Jesus do? What would He say?” Before going out, we need to stop and think if Jesus would go to the same place. Concerning what we watch and listen to, we need to think about if Jesus would watch that movie or listen to those lyrics in the music. We all need to do this, everyone of us. There have been times when I didn’t stop and think about what movie I was watching and as it progressed, I would feel the Spirit living inside of me and I would feel sad and knew that I had grieved the Holy Spirit which I never want to do.

Ephesians 4:29-31 explains it:

29 Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God’s favor) to those who hear it.

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God’s own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin).

31 Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).

No matter what, let’s all do our very best to always think on and meditate on God’s word, which are His thoughts. We know that God does no,t and cannot lie, so everything that He has said we can trust Him. May God bless you all. Think on and learn how very much He loves you:)

May God bless you,

WISDOM – FROM THE HEART OF AN INTERCESSOR

March 14, 2017 By techadmin

Don’t hop on board a train that’s not headed for your destination! Don’t risk your ANOINTING or your life, just to follow the in-crowd! Never find yourself reaching for the very things God told you to “drop off at the FINISHED LINE”. STOP enabling folks in their dysfunctions – it hinders their growth, and blocks their lessons, that are GOD ordained. Never allow “other people problems or OPP” to blur your vision and hinder YOU from resolving your own issues! Never allow guilt and shame to setup camp in your mind, holding you “hostage” to the wants, needs, and actions of others! Don’t allow folks to control and manipulate you just because they are angry; “stuck in pity, waddling in sorrow” and REFUSE to make a change! The only thing “I” can do for folks is pray for them, give them a word of advice (from the Scriptures) if they are open and receptive; and point them to Jesus – who can “renew their mind” with the washing of the Word! I can’t (and won’t) carry the weight of their burdens on my back….because Jesus said…”cast your cares onto me; my yoke is easy and my burden is light! (Matthew 11:30) There’s NO WEIGHT that the GLORY of God cannot handle, and JESUS SAVES! It’s time to stop naming and blaming; nursing, rehearsing, and cursing others just because they can’t supply your needs. REMEMBER: The cart overturned on the road ahead, is a warning to the one behind, and a bend in the road is NOT the end of the road, unless you refuse to make the turn!

Proverbs 3:5 says…”Trust in the lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding”! We can’t constantly focus on the failures of yesterday, carrying regrets into tomorrow! It’s time to “roll away the stone”…let go of anger, bitterness, jealousy, offense, and whatever is BLOCKING your progress! It’s time to allow GOD to manifest your blessings for the future; after all, God is in control of this UNIVERSE! AMEN!

God Provides - Testimonial

February 21, 2017 By techadmin

Dear Jeannie, I offer this testimony as an encouragement to all. For about 5 months Margaret and I kept seeing that our bank account had more than we recorded. We checked everything each month. Finally I accepted and received the extra money. It was a gift from God, as we had been going through financial difficulties. There was no anonymous giver…just Jesus!

PRAYING FOR OUR GOVERNMENT

February 21, 2017 By techadmin

There is a major battle going on in the world today. It is not the Democrats and the Republicans. It is a spiritual battle for the nations of the world.

We as Christians are all involved in it regardless if we want to be or not. In fact every person on the face of this earth is involved in it. We actually as believers are the deciding factor in this battle. This letter is to wake up any that are sleeping and create a change in the world that will last until Jesus comes for the Church. We have something to do with the state of our cities and our nation.

Proverbs 29:2 says, When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn. The common thought about that scripture is when the people in government and other positions of authority, such as police are righteous then the people have it good and rejoice. But when the people in those positions of authority are wicked then the people mourn. There is a certain amount of truth in that but I want to show you something deeper than that. Hopefully you know that we are the righteous. That means us, the Christians. We are the covenant people of God. When we use our authority as believers, we keep those who are visible in office accountable.

Let’s Look at Proverbs 11:11. By the blessing of the upright (the righteous) the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. So a city can be exalted or overthrown. Since 1 John 4:4 says, Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Guess who makes the choice. Not the devil, but us.

Just like the city can be overthrown by the mouth of the wicked, it can be blessed by the mouth of the just. That includes speaking good things over your boss, the police, the mayor, the pastor, the governor and so on.

Proverbs 18:20-21 says, A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

I Timothy 2:1-4 says, to pray for them that we may lead peaceable quiet lives in all godliness and honesty.

Revelation 17:17 says that God put on men’s hearts to fulfill His will till all His words are fulfilled. I am committed to this are you?
