Receive The Free Gift of Grace by Faith
The following scriptures display the truth of salvation and righteousness through Christ. These gifts are both received by faith through God’s wonderful love and grace.
Eph 2:4-9 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, (5) even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), (6) and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (7) that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (8) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, (9) not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the works of the Law.
Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Gal 2:16 knowing that a man is not justified by works of the Law, but through faith in Jesus Christ; even we believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith in Christ, and not by works of the Law. For all flesh will not be justified by works of law.
Gal 3:11 But that no one is justified by the Law in the sight of God is clear, for, “The just (or justified) shall live by faith.”
Gal 3:24 So that the Law has become a trainer of us until Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
We Are Free
We have been set free from the law of sin and death and given eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. It isn’t because of our good deeds. It isn’t the keeping of religious laws. It’s definitely not by positive beliefs. It is simply because God so loved each of us, He decided to do it all for us with the help of His son Jesus! If you have received Jesus Christ as your saviour, then you too are a recipient of this extravagant gift!
Gal 5:1-6 So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. (2) Listen! I, Paul, tell you this: If you are counting on circumcision (or the law) to make you right with God, then Christ will be of no benefit to you. (3) I’ll say it again. If you are trying to find favor with God by being circumcised (or following the law), you must obey every regulation in the whole law of Moses. (4) For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace. (Another translation says “Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace”. KJV)
No More Condemnation
Once you choose to receive this free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus, don’t ever forget the truth. Many have received this gift of freedom, only to be deceived into thinking they have forfeited it through poor choices and bad decisions. The devil does his absolute best to trick Christians into thinking they can loose their salvation because of mistakes, so they run away from God in shame and defeat. Even born-again believers allow themselves to be put into bondage to sin. We call this bondage “condemnation”. You know you have fallen into this trap if you are thinking “forgive me Lord, oh please forgive me”’ or “I am no good and I don’t deserve this”, or “I am a sinner – I am not worthy of this free gift” , etc. Listen, God loves you unconditionally just as a parent loves his/her own child. He doesn’t reject you because you made a mistake. He waits for you to come and ask how to do it right the next time. Make sure you run back to the one who gave you the free gift in the first place and just start over! Don’t misunderstand me, the freedom we have been given is not a license to sin, it is a license to live in victory through Jesus Christ! The devil has nothing to do with your future once you receive His free gift. He may try, but he knows he has no authority over you or your life any more! Let’s see what God really says about condemnation and sin in His word.
Rom 8:1-4 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (3) For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, (4) that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
1Jo 3:20 If our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts and knows everything. (3:21) Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence in the presence of God. (3:22) Whatever we request we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
Rom 5:20 …But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound, (or super abounds)
Sin has been destroyed by Jesus on the cross once and for all! The devil has been stripped of his authority over you and there is no more condemnation! Rejoice and give Him Praise!
